Photoshop CC 2019 CPU Feature: Intel vs. AMD vs. Mac

If you are on the market to create a new Photoshop workstation, you may be confused by the hundreds or thousands of different hardware components you can choose from. Even if you’re just trying to decide on a CPU, it’s still hard to find one that fits not only your budget but also the best performance against the dollar.

In this article, we will measure a wide range of processors from Intel and AMD including Intel’s ninth generation, Intel X-series, AMD Ryzen 2nd Gen, and AMD Threadripper 2nd CPU CPU. In addition, we’ll compare it with Mac Pro 12 Core and iMac Pro 14 Core for those who are thinking of going to a Mac-based workstation instead of a PC.

One thing to note is that results for any previous CPUs will not be included in this article. At first, we would have included them, but the charts and schedules were out of control soon. For the same test, we will use Photoshop CC 2019 (version 20.0.0) together with the Puget Systems Photoshop CC Benchmark 18.10 currently available for public download. This standard tests a set of general tasks (open / save, resize, fill flag content, etc.), filters in addition to the panoramic photomerge. Standard Analysis

Photoshop CC 2019 Measurement CPU Processors – Intel IX Generation, Intel X-Series, AMD TriLabrr 2nd Gen, AMD ReSnine II, Apple Mac Pro, Apple iMac Pro

The Photoshop Performance Metric (available for public download) tests a large number of tasks that we have divided into four categories: General, Filter, Photomerge, and GPU-accelerated, which contains results from both general tests and filter testing. With the exception of Photomerge, we also conduct each test in 8 bits / channel and 16 bits / channel. All these results are combined into the overall “total result” that represents the overall performance of the system in Photoshop.
